These words are not just a motto for us — they are the soul of Ishwar Seva Udyog (ISU). Our journey began in 2019, born out of compassion and a deep sense of responsibility toward the silent, suffering lives that walk among us — the countless stray and ailing animals in the Bolpur, Santiniketan region, often unseen and unheard.
Since then, we have stood by them — one rescue at a time, one healing touch at a time. We have tended to their wounds, cradled them in their pain, and watched them bloom back to life with love and care. We have sadly seen many succumb to their injuries and diseases as well. Our organization has been a pillar of support for animal welfare, focusing on rescue operations, medical care and advocacy. But this journey has not been easy… With limited resources and no dedicated shelter or animal hospital, our diligent efforts are constantly challenged.
There are days when we have the will but not the means. There are lives we want to save — but no space, no facility and no hands to hold them.
Yet, we continue — with faith in humanity and a sincere hope that you will walk with us in whatever capacity you can. We now dream of building a safe haven — an animal hospital and shelter where no animal will be turned away, where every life is given a fair chance at healing, safety and dignity.

Problem to Solve
Bolpur Santiniketan area lacks a facility that combines extensive veterinary services along with a shelter capable of housing a large number of animals. Due to ever increasing population of stray and injured/sick animals there is inadequate food, medical treatment, insufficient shelter, and rampant neglect/abuse of stray animals. Due to lack of awareness towards animal life along with lack of funding & patronage, the progress in this area has been extremely slow.
The Bolpur Santiniketan region urgently needs a dedicated facility that can provide both comprehensive veterinary care and a safe shelter for the growing number of stray, injured, and sick animals. As their numbers continue to rise alarmingly, these animals face a daily struggle for survival — lacking food, medical attention, and a safe place to rest. Many suffer in silence, victims of neglect, abuse, and widespread indifference. Sadly, the lack of awareness about animal welfare, combined with limited funding and support, have made progress in this area painfully slow.
